The New Era Of

India and Innovation

Economic freedom means more than just jobs or GDP growth. It means not depending on foreign countries for design, innovation, or technology. It means building a nation where our youth don’t just work in factories assembling products for others but lead the world with their ideas, inventions, and designs

    India Needs Your Help!

India needs creators, problem-solvers, and visionaries. It’s time to move beyond outdated syllabi and rote memorization. Let’s demand an education system that fosters curiosity, collaboration, and creativity. So how do we spark a generation of innovators in India? Let’s push for the creation of 50 world-class innovation-driven universities  institutions that don’t just teach, but inspire. Places where design thinking, cutting-edge research, and interdisciplinary learning shape the next leaders of technology, sustainability, art, and science. This is the moment to reimagine learning not as a burden, but as a launchpad for bold ideas and fearless experimentation. The future of India depends not just on its youth, but on how we choose to educate them.

    Let's Design In India!

One rupee. One voice. One purpose. We are not just a nation of workers; we are a nation of creators, dreamers, and doers. With just ₹1, you hold the power to spark a revolution. It’s not about the money it’s about showing that we, the people believe in India’s future. With one small step, you become part of something bigger

What Are We Trying To Achieve?

    50 World Class Universities!

India has talent. From small towns to big cities, young people are dreaming, building, and solving real problems but too often, they don’t have the space or support to take their ideas further. We assemble the world’s technology, but the real breakthroughs, the patents, the power, the profits are happening elsewhere. It’s time that changed. We need 50 truly world-class universities not just with better buildings, but with the freedom to imagine, experiment, and lead. These should be places where a student from Bharat can turn a question into an invention, and an idea into impact right here, without having to leave the country or settle for less. This is not just about education. It’s about building confidence in our future. It’s about creating an India where knowledge is not just consumed, but created. Let the world look to us for the next big idea.
Let’s make sure the next revolution in science, design, or technology doesn’t come from India — it starts in India.

    The Bharat We See!

Long before the British arrived, India was a land of wealth, wisdom, and progress. Our fields fed millions, our ports welcomed traders from all over, and our universities, like the famous Nalanda, were known worldwide for learning. Nalanda wasn’t just a school, it was proof of Bharat’s leadership in knowledge, drawing scholars from across Asia to study everything from astronomy and mathematics to medicine and philosophy. At a time when India contributed nearly 25% of the world’s wealth, we were called the “golden sparrow”  not just for our riches, but for our ideas, our art, and our spirit of discovery. That spirit is still alive. The India we see now is once again ready to lead not by imitating others, but by building something of our own. An India that is a global hub for learning and innovation. We see an India where every child’s dream has a chance, where knowledge is not a privilege but a shared strength. An India that doesn't just participate in the future — it shapes it.

    Our History

    Bharat Before Britishers

empire, brilliantly organized and culturally unified, which dominated a massive swathe of the earth. The other was an undeveloped, semi-feudal realm, riven by religious factionalism and barely able to feed its illiterate, diseased, and stinking masses. The first nation was India. The second was England.” — Alex von Tunzelmann, Indian Summer (Chapter 1, Page 11) Back in the 16th and 17th centuries, India was a global powerhouse. We were known all over the world for our innovation and trade. Our textiles silk, cotton, and more were in high demand across Europe, America, Asia, and Africa. India contributed 25% to the world economy back then.

    India After Independence

But then the British came. They imposed heavy taxes on our exports, sometimes as high as 300% and barely taxed imports. This destroyed our economy. And by the time we got freedom in 1947, we contributed just 2%. Then, between 1947 to 2025, we did a lot. We built organizations and institutions like ISER, IITs, AIIMS, ISRO, and launched policies like Make in India to bring back the glory days by turning India into a manufacturing hub. While there have been some successes, the results haven’t been as impactful as expected. Take the iPhone, for example. It’s assembled in India, but the design and most of the profits go back to California. Out of every ₹3000 Apple earns from an iPhone, India gets only ₹50. California takes ₹2950. So, what should we focus on manufacturing or designing? The real value lies in design, innovation, and ideas. But to create designers, we need top-quality education. What do you think how many universities in India are in the Top 50 world-class universities? Right now, no Indian university is in the top 100 globally.

    The One Rupee Of Change!

So how will we create designers in India? Let’s demand to establish 50 world-class universities in India. And here’s how we do it. We’ve created a website: designedinindia.org You can join the movement. Become a member. Pay 1 rupee as a membership fee as a  headcount.
Our goal is to hit 30 crore people before the general elections in 2029. We’ll go to all the political parties and say: “Promise us 50 world-class universities in your manifesto, and we will vote for you. Doesn’t matter which party. Whichever party does, we will give them the vote.”
And as proof: There are 30 crore people who have demanded it.
And here is a check of ₹30 crore that will go to the Government of India as a fund to complete the agenda.

    The Power of One Rupee

    Symbolize Ownership

Let’s show the power of 1 person, 1 rupee, 1 vote, and a new India.

    Mass Participation

Ab is desh ki abadi hai is desh ko aabad banayegi – Now, this country’s population itself will make the country prosper.

    Collective Action

In 1947, we got political freedom. In 1950, we got social freedom. Now it’s time for economic freedom. So we are saying: Let’s make Bharat again. Let’s build a new India.
    Let’s create it together.
